According to feng shui, placing individual specimens in the wrong place may increase the risk of misunderstandings between family members.
Feng shui is an ancient art of space arrangement originating from China. Its aim is to harmonize the space with positive energy called “chi” — the principles of this arrangement concept are intended to guarantee balance and well-being. For this purpose, it is necessary to properly arrange the furniture, use the right colors, add appropriate decorations, and maintain order.
Plants also play an important role in feng shui. Flowers are supposed to support positive energy, but placing them in the wrong place may have a completely different effect, especially when it comes to all types of cacti – placed in individual rooms, they will cause an avalanche of quarrels among the household members.

According to the principles of feng shui, cacti should not be placed in the bedroom or in places where we relax, e.g. the living room. The reason is said to be their thorns which, if superstitions are to be believed, can disturb peace and negatively affect relationships. What’s more, placing them in the southwestern part of your house or apartment may increase the risk of conflicts. They should also not be close to the entrance door, as they may block the penetration of positive energy into the interior.
Do you have to give up cacti? Not necessarily, in some places, according to feng shui, they are even desirable. It is best to place them in the southern parts of the house – they will help you achieve your career. In addition It’s good to have cacti in the kitchen, more specifically between the stove and the sink. The plant is supposed to eliminate the conflict that occurs there between two elements – fire and water. Of course, it’s worth taking this with a pinch of salt.
