According to Peixe’s number 10, the referee Sávio Pereira Sampaio would have acted in a way arrogant and applied the card in a unfair. The attacker also stated that he felt threatened during the dialogue with the judge.
“The referee is very weak. And what’s more, he’s arrogant — that’s the word. They always say that only the captain can talk to him, but when we try to talk, he turns his back and walks away. When I tried to talk, he threatened me. He said: ‘If you come close, I’ll give you a yellow card’. And I just asked: ‘Can’t I talk to you?'”, reported Neymar.
The player also criticized the move that led to Flamengo’s goal, claiming that there was foul in Brazão in the previous play.
– For me, it was a foul on Brazão, the move shouldn’t have even been turned into a corner. Arbitration in Brazil is making a lot of mistakes. Today, the attitude of the referee, whose name I don’t even know, was terrible, very arrogant – he added.
