At the beginning of the summer of 2025, fans could look forward to the magnificent Karol Duchoň 75 project! He presented a tour in several cities in Slovakia. During an unforgettable evening in honor of the late 75th birthday of the legend of the Slovak music scene Karol Duchoň in Nitra (June 13) icons of the Slovak and Czech music scene took turns on the stage: Helena Vondráčková, Mária Čírová, Peter Cmorík, Marián Čekovský, Cigánski diabli, Ludo Kuruc, Ondrej Kandráč or Otto Weiter with his wife and others.
The Karol Duchoň 75 megaconcert was unprecedented in Slovakia. A perfect show included an elaborate set and a great stage presentation. There were original dance numbers and fires! The exceptional megaconcert united generations of fans and artists who paid tribute to one of the most important artists in the history of Slovak music. Pre spoke one of the performers at the concert in Nitra – Peter Cmorik.
It has more of a rock soul. How did he react to the offer to sing Duchoň’s songs? “I had a lot of fun with it, because for me to sing it is so strange. It must be said that last time I took part in a project called Folklore in a tailcoat, and there we sang folk songs with an orchestra. It turned out fantastic. So, I already know for these big projects that when Janko Ďurovčík directs it, it will be a bomb. It has to go well,” stated Cmorik, saying that these are things associated with good company and a show.
