An indigenous leader from the Extrema village, located on the Upper Iaco River, Sena Madureira region, recorded a considerable increase in the water level of the Iaco River. Not long ago, riverside residents were facing many difficulties due to the drought, but with the arrival of the rains, reality has gradually changed.

“The Iaco River continues to flood here in the Extrema village. Raft boats are also coming down,” said the resident.
With this scenario, navigation becomes less complicated for residents. However, it is necessary to take extra care to avoid flooding and boat accidents.
The flood observed in the Extrema village has not yet been reflected in the volume of water in the port of Sena Madureira. To give you an idea, this Monday (10), the ruler dawned at 3.11 meters — well below the alert level, which is 14 meters.
