In September, Ace Frehley took to social media to tell his fans that he had suffered a “slight” dropwhich is why he was forced to cancel a performance scheduled for that week in Lancaster, California, on medical advice.
A few days later, his tour, scheduled until the end of the year, was canceled “due to ongoing medical issues.”
The news of the death was released by the family, in a statement, on October 17th, which stated that they were completely “devastated and heartbroken.”

About a decade after the band’s founding, in 1983, Ace Frehley decided abandon Kiss to pursue a solo career, after a car accident. However, he would return in 1996 for a world tour alongside original members of the North American band, in a reunion long awaited by fans and which proved to be highly profitable. It was known as The Space Ace.
