The Santa Luzia Animal Association (ADOTA) celebrates its 11th anniversary with a solidarity lyrical concert entitled “As Maravilhas de Alice”, next Saturday, November 15th, at 6:00 pm, at the Igreja da Misericórdia de Tavira.
The event brings together a notable cast of classical music performers, including Conceição Seabra Galante (soprano), Maria Isabel Seabra (soprano), Nuno de Vilallonga (baritone), Marie Chaplet (soprano), Francisco Machado (tenor) and Manuel Piteira (tenor), accompanied by André Rocha (cello), Luís Valente (guitar) and Raquel Correia (piano).
As part of the association’s celebrations, the concert will also feature a special moment dedicated to the textbook “The Wonders of Alice”, with the presence of author Lina Soares, who will narrate one of the rescue stories experienced by ADOTA animals, through the eyes of Bingo the cat.
The session will also have the participation of the dog Meo, one of the protagonists of the work, aged 11, and seven children, who join in this tribute to the animal cause.
With a repertoire of emblematic works of classical music and a moment of storytelling, the show combines art and solidarity. The symbolic ticket corresponds to “10 Adoptions”, and all proceeds go to the association, which is dedicated to the protection and well-being of animals.
Please note that the animals available for adoption will not be present at the concert, but can be found on the institution’s social networks.
