Ignacia Fernández, death metal vocalist and representative of the commune of Las Condes, was crowned Miss World Chile 2025, after standing out with an absolutely extraordinary performance during the contest. The 27-year-old won over the audience and the jury by performing a talented number in a death metal style, using a guttural voice, something unheard of in a beauty contest.
The final, held in Santiago de Chile, confirmed what many had already predicted since the semi-final: Ignacia was the big favorite. Her authenticity, charisma and courage in breaking stereotypes made her an unforgettable competitor.
Ignacia is the vocalist and co-founder of the band Decessus, created in 2020 and known in the underground for its mix of progressive death metal and metalcore. The artist, who describes herself as passionate about music and individual expression, stated after the victory that she intends to “show that beauty can be diverse, powerful and free from prejudice”.
With the title of Miss World Chile 2025, Ignacia Fernández will represent the country in the Miss World 2026 contest, where she promises to continue to challenge conventions and bring her unique energy to the international stage.
