Created by Cruzeiro’s youth teams, Igor Thiago has stood out on English soil. A Brentford player, the center forward is enjoying a great start to the season in Europe, with numbers that surpass Brazilian national team level strikers.

The former Raposa player has nine goals in 12 games for Brentford this season. Of these, eight were for the Premier League and one for the English League Cup.

In England’s main competition, he is the second top scorer, behind only the Norwegian Erling Haaland, who scored 14 times. On the other hand, the Brazilian surpasses the biggest names in world football.

Egyptian Mohamed Salah, from Liverpool, found the net four times in the English championship – the same number as João Pedro, from Chelsea, and Richarlison, from Tottenham. Matheus Cunha, from Manchester United, has just one goal in the national league. The three are constant figures in the Brazilian team.
