Rapporteur of the anti-faction bill withdrew changes from the anti-terrorism law and does not mention PF powers
Government leaders claim that the changes made by the draft rapporteur enable Lula’s base to support the opinion. The licensed secretary of Public Security of São Paulo backed away from the changes previously made to the proposal.
Unlike the last report, Derrite does not make any further changes to the 2016 anti-terrorism law. According to him, a new criminal type will be created with specific punishments for members of criminal organizations. The modification will be made within the same project presented by the government.
The rapporteur also failed to mention the Federal Police in the text, without specifying powers for investigations involving the organizations.
“The text is ours, of course we can now support it,” said the government’s deputy leader, Rubens Pereira Jr.
