Candidate for President of the Republic looked at the list and noticed that he didn’t want to go back to anyone. Messages helped.
When will João Cotrim de Figueiredo decided to be candidate for President of the Republic? That was when he looked at the list of names that had already advanced and noticed that I didn’t want to vote for anyone.
“I started with myself: hey man, I don’t know who to vote for. I know that It’s a bit stupid to say, but I’m running so you can vote for me own”, reveals the former IL leader.
Cotrim de Figueiredo says that, as soon as he decided to move forward, he immediately received messages from voters who supported his candidacy.

In this context, he admits that he would like the current Government – or the current PSD – bet more on reforms, without “worrying so much” about such clientele.
Is against the privatization of Social Security, a “very important pillar of the Social State that I think modern democracies have an obligation to maintain and sustain”.
