Andreson had been under house arrest in Primavera do Leste, in the interior of Mato Grosso, since July, by order of the minister of the (Supreme Federal Court).
Zanin had authorized house arrest after a positive opinion from the (Attorney General’s Office) for the lobbyist’s release from a federal prison in Brasília, due to his state of health.
Due to the lack of special food in the prison, Andreson had lost more than 30 kg.
According to his lawyer, Eugênio Pacelli, the new arrest took place under the argument that Andreson had starved himself voluntarily in order to be transferred from a federal prison in Brasília to his home.
“A decision as surprising as it is unfounded. They forgot the IML report and his diagnosis based on imaging tests and others, to validate 50 minutes of two medical police officers at his house.
If this is the case, if he commits suicide, they will say that, as the suicide was voluntary, he should be buried in the prison”, said Pacelli, in a statement.
Andreson is the main target of, which aims to “investigate crimes of criminal organization, exploitation of prestige and violation of functional secrecy”. The investigation involves the sale of decisions not only in the STJ but also in other courts.
The PF launched the operation last year, when it identified suspicions that targets “requested amounts to benefit parties in legal proceedings, through decisions favorable to their interests.”
The investigation also investigates negotiations involving the leak of confidential information, including details of police operations. STJ employees are investigated, but there is no investigation into the ministers.
In October, the PF carried out operations at Andreson’s house.
