The group, which brings together progressive jurists, is among the winners of the 2025 edition of the State Human Rights Award, defined after deliberation by Condepe (State Council for the Defense of Human Rights).
Father Júlio was chosen in the Personality category as a “symbol of resistance and solidarity, a national reference in the defense of homeless people and in the fight for human dignity”.
The legal group, which won as an Entity, stood out for its “defense of the Democratic Rule of Law, social justice and fundamental rights, with broad public and institutional action”, according to the text accompanying the winners of the 2025 edition.
Coletivo Pablo Olalla Gonzales won the award in the Experience and Social Action category for preserving “the memory and legacy of human rights activist Pablo Olalla Gonzales, promoting cultural, educational and community actions focused on citizenship and human rights”.
The winners were decided by Condepe in recognition of the social relevance and commitment to the defense of human rights. The award ceremony will be on December 15th at an event promoted by the Secretariat of Justice and Citizenship and Condepe in São Paulo.
