The Lawyers show the room messages cut by the UCO
The State Attorney’s Office has dealt a severe blow to the UCO experts and the solidity of their deductions. During the questions from the State lawyer, she reproduced three WhatsApp messages that the agents partially included in their report and that Diego Villafañe, from the Technical Secretariat of the State Attorney General’s Office, and Pilar Rodríguez, provincial chief prosecutor of Madrid, had crossed. In them, as partially reflected by the agents in the report, Villafañe told his partner: “You take good care of yourself because I already told you that we are going to need you very much.” She supposedly responded: “Ayyy… what are you thinking about?” And Villafañe added: “Everything good.”
The agents then pointed out in their report that these messages show that “it could appear that they had some professional plan for the provincial chief prosecutor,” sowing suspicions about an alleged plot in the Prosecutor’s Office that included professional awards for those allegedly involved.
However, the State Attorney’s Office has shown the entire exchange of messages to the courtroom this Wednesday, without the cuts made by the UCO. And these literally say like this:
Pilar Rodríguez: On Monday I was at another ophthalmologist. He gave me another type of laser, which penetrates further and is more specific for detachment. More painful. What alerts me is that I was in the service a couple of months ago and they didn’t see those new tears. [sic]
Diego Villafañe: Damn, I didn’t know about the new tears. Cheer up and take care of yourself, we really need you!!!! [sic] A big kiss
Rodríguez: The laser does not prevent you from working! [sic]
Villafane: Ha ha. What are you like! You take good care of yourself because I already told you that we are going to need you very much. [sic]
The State’s lawyer then asked the UCO agents: “Do you think they are talking about Mrs. Pilar’s professional plans?” “Yes, of course. We haven’t included the other one for privacy reasons.” At that moment laughter was heard in the room.
