Driver speaks disjointedly, but called the police saying he was robbed
A truck with a suspected bomb completely blocks the coastal direction of the Rodoanel, at KM 44, in Itapecerica da Serra, in Grande, on the morning of this Wednesday (12). The episode causes at least 16 kilometers of congestion, according to information from Artesp and the concessionaire SPmar, which manages the stretch.
The driver reported to the dealership that he was kidnapped by three men during a cargo theft and forced to cross the vehicle on the road. Since just before 5:30 am, the truck has been stopped, completely blocking the road towards the coast.
The Military Police were called at that time, after reports that the driver had disjointed speech and signs of an outbreak. Teams from Gate (Special Tactical Actions Group) are on their way to negotiate with the man.
The truck left Acre headed for São Bernardo do Campo, in ABC Paulista. There is still no information about the type of cargo transported. According to Coluna’s investigation, the team is seeking contact with the company responsible for the vehicle and is awaiting a response.
The vehicle belongs to a transport company that operates on the Brazil–Bolivia–Paraguay axis and also carries out transport to Chile and Argentina. The company has headquarters in São Bernardo do Campo (SP), Corumbá (MS) and Foz do Iguaçu (PR).
Traffic is being diverted from KM 36, according to Artesp. In addition to the dealership and Military Police teams, Fire Department vehicles are also on site.
