A Turkish military plane of the Lockheed C-130E Hercules model crashed this Monday (11) in Georgia, close to the border with Azerbaijan, according to Turkish and Georgian authorities.
The aircraft, which was carrying out a military transport flight, departed from Ganja International Airport, in Azerbaijan, bound for Türkiye, and had 20 soldiers on board.
Images show the plane spiraling downward, with white smoke, and a separate object falling towards the ground.

Turkish authorities reported that a search and rescue operation is underway, coordinated with teams from Azerbaijan and Georgia, but there is still no information on survivors or causes of the accident.
The Lockheed C-130E Hercules involved in the accident is 57 years old, having been manufactured in 1968 and initially operated by the Royal Saudi Air Force before entering service in Turkey in 2010.
The aircraft had been carrying out regular flights, with the last recorded route between Kayseri, in Turkey, and Ganja, in Azerbaijan, on the same day as the accident.
Investigations to determine the causes of the accident are ongoing, while rescue teams continue to search the region.
