Slovaks perceive Juraj Bača mainly as an actor and presenter of the show Pečie čele Slovensko. His great passion is music, and that’s what he’s been working on secretly for the last few months. The announcements about the new project were very mysterious at first.
“It’s a very important thing in my life because it’s something I’ve dreamed of for a long time. What I felt so deeply inside for a long time that it should happen. And now it will finally happen,” he said in a video at the end of October, promising fans that they have something to look forward to.
A few days later, the secrets went aside and he revealed that he had created his own song. His first ever song I’m leaving you premiered on the radio on November 10. Even before the release, Juraj spoke about what he is most afraid of. According to his own words, he first had to answer the question of who Juraj Bača actually is.
“A person’s greatest fear is when he finds himself. He goes to the market with his skin, with his emotions, with the way he experiences things, what he has experienced, and he goes to stand in front of people and say it. Because those people may not accept it. They can laugh about it. For whatever reason, they may feel that it’s not good enough, that it’s embarrassing. Art as such, not only singing but also acting, cannot be done without putting a piece of yourself into it. That is, the more a person risks and the more it hurts when it is not met with understanding“, he confessed.
In the end, his fears did not come true and the fans fell in love with his novelty at the first hearing. “Perfect,” wrote one. “I haven’t heard anything more beautiful this year,” said another to Juraj. “A beautiful song,” thinks the listener.
“Juraj Bača, more songs like that,” asked a commenter. “Juraj, great! Keep up the good work,” the fan wished him. “Thank you very much for the incredible responses to my new song (song, editor’s note)! They make me extremely happy“, Bača responded.
The release of a song is a huge thing for him. “Most of you already know me as an actor from television or movies. Others like the presenter of the show Pečie čele Slovensko or other gala evenings, but the truth is that at the beginning of this journey there was music. Me and the guitar. First in the church, later in various bars and pubs, then different bands came, then my own band and today I present to the world my first author’s song,” Bača poured his heart out. “Thank you for the beautiful feedback and support,” he added.
