After requests from Hungary: Klimt painting ordered to be confiscated

Vienna/Budapest – Hungary lays claim to the painting of a Ghanaian prince by Gustav Klimt that has resurfaced after decades. After a request from Austria’s neighboring country, the Vienna public prosecutor’s office ordered the painting to be seized, reported ZiB2 on Wednesday evening. The work was brought to Austria from Hungary. An export permit is available, but it should not say that it is a Klimt painting.
