The Federal Police launched, this Thursday (13), an operation that resulted in the arrest of Alessandro Stefanutto, former president of the INSS (National Social Security Institute). The action investigates a billion-dollar scheme involving unauthorized association discounts on the organization’s retirement and pensions. This comes months after his dismissal in April this year. According to investigations, during Stefanutto’s administration, there was a significant increase in the volume of irregular discounts on social security benefits.
