Anthropic announces US$50 billion in AI data centers in the US

Technology company says the project should come into operation in 2026, creating around 800 permanent jobs

The artificial intelligence startup announced on Wednesday (12.Nov.2025) a data centers in several locations across the United States, including Texas and New York. These facilities will be custom-built for the company, “enabling continued research and development at the cutting edge of computing”.

In partnership with , based in the United Kingdom, the project aims to create around 800 permanent jobs and another 2,400 in construction, with the new centers coming into operation throughout 2026.

Anthropic also cites the President’s government’s Artificial Intelligence Action Plan (Republican Party), which aims to consolidate the US as a global leader in technology.

“We are getting closer to AI that can accelerate scientific discoveries and help solve complex problems in ways that were previously impossible. To realize this potential, we need an infrastructure that supports continued development at the cutting edge of technology”said Dario Amodei, CEO and co-founder of Anthropic.

“These research centers will help us build more capable AI systems that can drive these advances while creating jobs in the United States.”he added.

Fluidstack, a startup selling cloud computing services for AI, will provide “gigawatts of energy” as part of the project, according to the statement.
