Assassin Juraj Cintula (72), who shot Prime Minister Fico last year, appealed against the sentence. Igor Králik’s senate sentenced him to 21 years for terrorism in October. The case will be dealt with by the Supreme Court, reports .
The pensioner did not deny the guilt in the case in court. However, from the beginning of the trial, the defense questioned the designation of his act as terrorism, as proposed by the plaintiff. The trial chamber then granted her proposal and the plaintiff waived her right to appeal directly in the courtroom.
