Banco do Brasil is in the process of signing a credit operation worth R$700 million with the State of Pará, which hosts COP30. The resources must be allocated to macro-drainage infrastructure works, and there is a possibility that the operation will be signed during the conference.
“We intend to sign at the COP”, said the Broadcast (Grupo Estado’s real-time news system) BB’s Government director, Euler Mathias. “It is an operation for infrastructure works in macro-drainage, for the adequate drainage of water, combating floods and flooding, in addition to the sanitary sewage system.”
This operation fits into the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) financing line, which has been pursued by development financial institutions (IFDs).
