Former anchor Angelynn Mock, 47, ended up in handcuffs after stabbing her 80-year-old mother, Anita Avers, to death on Halloween. According to witness Alyssa Castro, Mock even took her phone, returned to the house and called law enforcement herself. Police found Anita in bed with multiple stab wounds. The ambulance immediately took her to the hospital, where she died just 30 minutes after arriving.
The ex-moderator was waiting for the patrol to arrive in front of the house and she had bloody wounds on her hands. Angelynn Mock is facing a charge of first degree murder. The judge sent her into custody and set bail at $1 million. The police said that they are investigating all the circumstances after the incident.
Anita Avers was a renowned marriage and family therapist. Her accused daughter used to move in the world of media. She served as a substitute anchor for the morning and evening news at KTVI Fox 2 and later worked at various sales and data companies.
