Israel received a body this Thursday (13) that Hamas says is more than one hostage who died in the Gaza Strip.
The remains were handed over to the Red Cross, which passed them on to the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) in Gaza.
The body is already in Israel and is now heading to the National Institute of Legal Medicine, where identification procedures will be carried out.
“The IDF asks the public to act with caution and await official identification, which will first be communicated to the families of the deceased hostages,” the Army commented in a statement.
If confirmed, Hamas is obliged to return all remains under the first phase of the US-brokered ceasefire agreement.
