The Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) have awarded one of the largest contracts in their history. We are talking about around two billion francs (around 2.16 billion euros) for the delivery of 116 double-decker trains (plus 84 as an additional option) that will run in Zurich and western Switzerland after 2030. The Swiss home and farm manufacturer Stadler Rail had licked its fingers and was full of confidence that it would keep the domestic order in the country.
