The move to this new space is scheduled for March next year.

Second Lisbon supermarket at the beginning of 2026

The second supermarket in the capital, in Lambert’s Farmwas scheduled to open in 2025, but was slightly postponed due to adjustments in the planning of the work. The opening should take place in the first quarter of next year.

To open a store, places like Chiado are more challenging for the retailer: it is difficult to find spaces of around 1,800 square meters, necessary for the Mercadona concept.

The chain ends 2025 with 69 supermarketsafter having started operations in Portugal in 2019, and with the objective set to reach 150 stores. The company ended 2024 with 7,000 workers, having recruited 700 more in 2025 to support the opening of new units.
