Gonet did not specify what these “controversies” would be. “This is a decision that is up to Congress to make, I have no doubt about Congress’s competence to comment on amnesty. I understand that there is controversy around this from a legal point of view”, said Gonet, who has been with the Federal Public Ministry since 1987, where he has held various positions.
