This Wednesday, before being questioned and approved for another two years in office, Gonet considered that he has no doubt that the approval of the amnesty, however, he highlighted that the decision is up to Congress, but that there are controversies from a legal point of view. Gonet did not specify what these “controversies” would be. “This is a decision that is up to Congress to make, I have no doubt about Congress’s competence to comment on amnesty. I understand that there is controversy around this from a legal point of view”, said Gonet, who has been with the Federal Public Ministry since 1987, where he has held various positions.
