Tavira promotes a visit to Quinta Maria Flaminga to promote organic farming and the Mediterranean Diet

The Municipal Museum of Tavira promotes, on November 22nd (Saturday), at 10:00, a visit to Quinta Maria Flaminga, as part of the municipal program “Cabaz da Terra”. The initiative will be led by Isabel Pedras, responsible for the farm, who will explain organic farming practices and share her experience in sustainable cultivation.

In a statement, the municipality emphasizes that the visit “invites the public to discover local organic farming and the values ​​of the Mediterranean Diet”, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Isabel Pedras will present “production methods and the importance of local food, seasonality and respect for nature”, says the municipality.

During the route, participants will be able to taste local products and get to know “the authentic flavors and aromas of organic farming” up close. At the end of the activity, a basket with selected products from the garden will be delivered, in an action that aims to strengthen the connection between producers and consumers.

The municipality recalls that the “Cabaz da Terra” program aims to “raise awareness of sustainable agricultural practices and healthy lifestyles, deeply rooted in the Mediterranean tradition”.
