Until recently, the Chinese woman Zhimin Qian was worth five billion euros. She had earned this wealth through a Ponzi scheme in which she promised investors wealth but, above all, financed a luxurious life for herself with the money she collected. Expensive hotels and exclusive accessories were Qian’s constant companions. In 2018 she even wants to buy a house in England – for 23 million pounds (around 26 million euros). The large sum makes the local authorities suspicious and investigations begin against Qian.
