The “Islamic State” is not finished yet

Today’s IS organization has little to do with the “Islamic State,” which proclaimed a “caliphate” in the Iraqi city of Mosul in 2014 and whose attacks spread death and fear around the world. At that time it was estimated to have a strength of up to 80,000 fighters in the Middle East, 42,000 of whom came from abroad, many of them from Europe. Today’s numbers look modest in comparison. But all terrorism reports come to the conclusion: IS is not finished yet.
