González Amador’s lawyer uses prosecutor Lastra against García Ortiz

González Amador’s lawyer repeats his accusation thesis before the court and uses Almudena Lastra, head of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Community of Madrid, as a weapon against the attorney general. The lawyer tries to maintain his theory that there was a plot at the top of the public ministry with the argument, among others, that García Ortiz “hid” his actions from Lastra. To do this, the lawyer for Ayuso’s boyfriend reproduces an alleged telephone conversation that, according to the prosecutor, occurred between Lastra and García Ortiz.

During his testimony as a witness, Lastra cast doubts on García Ortiz. According to what Lastra told the court, she even blurted out to the prosecutor in that telephone conversation: “You leaked it!” or “You leaked it!”, in reference to the email released by the press. According to the version that Lastra gave, García Ortiz responded: “That doesn’t matter now.” A phrase that is neither a confession nor a denial.

However, García Ortiz contradicted her. The attorney general not only assured that he never heard those words from him, but that there is not enough trust between the two for him to address him in those terms: “And I doubt that a prosecutor in this country would address the attorney general of the State like that.”
