Many people throws broken glasses, mirrors or vases into green containers. It turns out this was a mistake. These products are made of a different type of glass that is not recyclable. Only packaging glass used for the production of bottles or jars should be placed in glass containers.
So where should you throw away a broken mirror? It turns out that they should be placed in a black container intended for mixed waste. The same applies to glass vases or kitchen glasses. This type of waste cannot be recycled and should therefore be disposed of in mixed waste containers.

- black containers – we throw mixed waste into them, i.e. mainly waste that cannot be recovered in the recycling process (except hazardous waste);
- green containers – we throw glass waste into them – bottles and jars from drinks or food;
- yellow containers – we throw metals and plastics into them;
- blue containers – we put paper packaging into them, such as cardboard boxes, newspapers, leaflets or printed cards;
- brown containers – we throw biodegradable waste into them, for example leftovers from vegetables and fruits.
Importantly, this should also happen from the beginning of 2025 segregate textile waste. We can return used clothes or other similar products to: Municipal Waste Selective Collection Point. In some places we may come across . They are used for hazardous waste that could have a potentially harmful impact on the environment. This includes, among others, expired medicines, used batteries and small electronic devices.
