On Friday (14), the day before the match valid for the delayed 13th round of the Brazilian Championship against Palmeiras, Santos plans to hold an open training session with the presence of organized fans, invited to accompany and encourage the players.
According to Diário do Peixe, the activity does not yet have a confirmed location, and could take place either in Vila Belmiro or in CT Rei Pelé, depending on logistics and security.

What will Santos’ open training be like?
According to the Diário, the invitation has already been made by the club, and the expectation is that those organized will attend in force. The intention is to create an environment of support and motivation for the squad, which is going through a very difficult phase and is looking for strength to get out of the relegation zone in the final stretch of the Brasileirão.
The club’s main objective would be to stimulate the athletes before the classic that could mark a turning point in the fight against relegation. In the midst of a demanding moment, Santos tries to transform the pressure into encouragement and unity.
So far, Peixe has not yet made an official statement about holding open training.
Relationship between the Santos board and organized fans
The decision to open training to fans comes against a backdrop of tension and demand for results. Shortly after the arrival of coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda, representatives of the organized fans met with president Marcelo Teixeira.
At the time, they guaranteed unconditional support for the team, but this would be conditional on dedication on the field and the search for victories. The organizers also demanded more attitude and commitment from the players.
The team had very irregular performances, especially in the last few games, with a sequence of draws and defeats that reignited criticism and protests. The fans once again showed dissatisfaction, especially after stumbles at home against Fortaleza and Vitória.
Classic as a turning point in the Brasileirão
The clash against Palmeiras, scheduled for Saturday (15), at 9pm, in Vila Belmiro, is considered decisive. In addition to being a classic, the game represents a crucial chance of recovery in the Brazilian Championship. A victory could take Santos out of the relegation zone and put the team back in direct contention to stay in Serie A.
With 33 points, Santos occupies 17th place in the table and is trying to reduce the two-point difference in relation to Vitória (35 points), the first team outside the Z-4.
