Elections in Hungary should be held in April 2026.
The opposition party Tisza would in Hungary according to a poll by the Politico portal.
However, the Nézőpont Institute came to the rescue with a survey according to which 50 percent of Hungarians expect Orbán to win the election. The victory of his challenger, the chairman of the non-parliamentary party TISZA Péter Magyar, is expected by 32 percent of Hungarian voters.
In short, the institute did not ask who people would currently vote for, but what their expectations were, who they could support in next year’s elections. And that in a situation where Fidesz has been in power for 15 years.
The poll was conducted from November 10 to 12, after Orbán’s meeting with US President Donald Trump on November 7 in Washington.
