The Community of Madrid has announced that it will not create the registry of conscientious objectors to abortion and leaves the decision in the hands of the courts. “In the Community of Madrid we believe in legal, safe and rare abortion. We are not going to point out and persecute those who abort or those who do or do not perform abortions,” said the Minister of Health, Fátima Matute, in statements to the press this Friday. “We prefer a court to say what needs to be done rather than a sectarian government,” he added.
