Epstein stated in an email that he spoke to Lula by phone in 2018

American businessman Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender, stated in a 2018 email that he spoke to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) by phone while he was imprisoned in Curitiba. According to the businessman, the American linguist and activist, Noam Chomsky, made the connection between the two.

In the same email, Epstein praises former president Jair Messias Bolsonaro (PL), calling him “the guy”. At the time, Bolsonaro was running for President.

It is not known who the messages were exchanged with, as the name was hidden in the file.

See the translation of the email exchange of 09/21/2018:

  • Epstein: Chomsky called me with Lula. From prison. What a world.
  • Recipient: Tell him my guy will win in the first round.
  • Epstein: During Thursday’s press conference, a message from Lula to the Workers’ Party (PT) was transmitted, regarding the organization’s militancy.
  • Epstein: Bolsonaro is the man.

Noam Chomsky visited Lula in prison in Curitiba on September 20, 2018, the day before the exchange of messages.

The emails were released by the United States House Oversight Committee on Wednesday (12), received from the files of businessman Jeffrey Epstein.

The files contain a message in which Epstein claims that President Donald Trump “knew about the girls” — apparently in reference to Trump’s claim that he kicked him out of his Mar-a-Lago club for harassing young female employees.
