Groups linked to the PT target Motta and Tarcísio – 11/14/2025 – Power

Groups linked to messaging applications intensified the offensive against the report presented by (-SP) on the anti-faction project. They released videos critical of members of the center in which they claim that the text strengthens organized crime.

Materials released by the groups Pode Spalhar, an initiative of the PT and entities linked to the party to reinforce activities on social media, target names such as the president of the Chamber, (-PB), the governor of , (Republicans), and the senator and president of the PP, (PI).

Secretary of Public Security of the Tarcísio government, to report on the project, . Since the deputy presented his first version of the text originally sent by the government (PT), members of Palácio do Planalto, the party and allies began to say that the proposal opened a loophole for the weakening of national sovereignty and the actions of the Federal Government, something that the rapporteur and allies classify as a false narrative.

The government and the PT began a campaign in defense of the PF and began to link the anti-faction project to the , which was approved in the Chamber, but buried after strong pressure from society. Secom (Secretariat of Social Communication) of the Presidency also released videos critical of the project.

The report from Sheet is in some Pode Spread groups. On its website, the initiative is described as a “national, digital and organized militancy network that produces and shares content to defend the people, democracy and the achievements of the Lula government and combat the extreme right, lies and spread hope”.

On Thursday (14) two videos were sent — in different groups — that focus on the center’s role in this process. There is no identification of authorship. When contacted, the PT did not respond.

One of them, lasting a minute and a half, states that there is a “very dangerous move happening in Brasília that will further strengthen organized crime” and that there are “politicians working to protect crime.”

The narrator names Tarcísio, Motta and Ciro Nogueira, stating that they “want to weaken the anti-faction with a clear objective: to reduce the investigative power of the Federal Police and increase political control over those who should have autonomy to investigate organized crime”.

“The move is simple: Tarcísio de Freitas used his influence and placed his former security secretary Guilherme Derrite to report on the anti-faction PL. Derrite, following the instructions of his boss, proposed a series of changes to the project to reduce the PF’s investigative power. Hugo Motta is the coordinator in Congress, who gives approval to the project and ensures that the text moves forward. And Ciro Nogueira, from the center, does the behind-the-scenes work to align political support and politically isolate those who try defend the autonomy of the PF”, says the narrator.

“And why is this articulation so dangerous? Because the political control of the PF allows politicians or their allies linked to organized crime to gain space to commit crimes without there being an investigation”, he also says. The video is accompanied by images of the politicians who are mentioned.

In the second film, lasting just over a minute, a photograph is released of a dinner that took place this week between the former presidents of the Chamber and (PP-AL) alongside Derrite. The video uses the expression an “indigestible dinner for Brazil”.

“Cunha, you remember well: he was impeached and arrested for corruption. Now, you are the one who advises Derrite on the project that will decide the future of public security in Brazil. And Arthur Lira? He needs no introduction. Cunha and Derrite have a common objective: to weaken the PF and prevent white-collar criminals from being arrested”, says the narrator.

In this video, a speech by the general director of the PF, Andrei Rodrigues, is broadcast in an interview this week, in which he criticizes the report presented by Derrite.

Then, the narrator resumes speaking and says that, in the meantime, “on the street, organized crime is grateful for this partnership.” “And at the restaurant table, a lot of laughter, toasts and bites that cost more than hundreds of reais. They cost the safety of the Brazilian people. They toast, crime thanks them and the people are the ones who pay”, he concludes.

This year, the PT intensified its activities on social networks in an attempt to compete politically in the virtual environment. In the first half of the year, with the campaign in defense of tax justice and the rhetoric of the fight between poor and rich, that the President of the Republic was clashing against powerful interests of the business and financial status quo.

At that time, a large part of this campaign was videos produced by artificial intelligence and which had as its motto the defense of “BBB taxation”, in reference to “billionaires, bets and banks” — a group that would form a powerful lobby in partnership with the centrão and the right in the Legislature.

Members of the center, as a reaction, were apocryphal, and even talked about the formalization of a CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) in the government to investigate the financiers of these films. The initiative did not go ahead.
