A nurse and her 3-year-old daughter went through moments of despair this Thursday afternoon (13), in Campo Grande (MS), after being stranded in the car during a strong storm. The flood took over the road and the force of the water pushed the vehicle, preventing Mara da Costa from leaving with the child.

According to residents, the car remained surrounded by the current for around 15 minutes, while the water rose rapidly. People decided to take action and used a tractor to reach the vehicle and safely remove mother and daughter. The entire action was recorded by residents of the region.
Despite the scare, both are doing well. The scene reignited discussions about recurring flooding in the capital of Mato Grosso do Sul during periods of intense rain.
