Former and current Slovak Minister of Foreign Affairs Miroslav Lajčák, adviser to the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, Robert Fico according to his statement to TASR on Friday in the past, he communicated with American financier Jeffrey Epstein only socially as part of his diplomatic duties.
The opening of Epstein’s case by the US justice regarding the abuse of minors only happened after Lajčák’s departure from New York in 2018, reminded the Slovak diplomat, who until then worked there as the president of the UN General Assembly. At the same time, Lajčák strongly condemned Epstein’s actions, which – as he pointed out – came to light in their entirety only after the financier’s arrest.
