Two Greek organizations will be characterized, among others, as terrorist organizations, specifically the “Revolutionary Class Self-Defense” and the “Armed Proletarian Justice”, since, as stated in a related announcement, they have carried out attacks on government buildings.
These organizations will receive the designations Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTO) and Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGT).
The “Revolutionary Class Self-Defense” is actually behind the bombing of the offices of Hellenic Train in the center of Athens in April.
In addition to Greece, two other European organizations, one from Germany and one from Italy will also be designated as terrorist. This is the German “Antifa Ost”, which has been linked to attacks that took place between 2018 and 2023 across the country. German prosecutors have indicted seven people allegedly linked to the organization.
The second is the “International Revolutionary Front” from Italy, which will also be included in the list. The group has been linked to dozens of violent incidents over the past two decades, letter bombs targeting government targets and businessmen as well as shootings.
