Trade association and Greenpeace are calling for Shein to be banned across Europe

Vienna/Singapore – The trade association and Greenpeace are calling for a Europe-wide block of the controversial Chinese low-cost retailer platform Shein. The background is an evaluation by the French consumer protection authority, which is said to have discovered some serious defects when confiscating around 200,000 packages at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. Accordingly, 80 percent of the products are said to have violated EU safety standards, as it was said in a joint release on Friday.
