Who is Troy Parrott?

Troy Parrott is an Irish striker born on February 4, 2002, in Dublin. Revealed by Belvedere FC, he caught the attention of Tottenham and transferred to the English club while still in the youth categories, in 2017.

He made his professional debut at Spurs in 2019, but had few chances and ended up on loan to gain experience at teams such as Millwall, Ipswich Town, MK Dons, Preston North End and Excelsior Rotterdam.

In 2024, Parrott was sold to AZ Alkmaar, from the Netherlands, where he has stood out in the Eredivisie with a good goal average and consistent performances.

For the Irish national team, he debuted in 2019 and has already scored goals in friendly matches, including a recent highlight with two goals in a match held in Portugal. Known for his mobility and physical strength, the striker is seen as one of the main promises in Irish football.

How were Parrott’s goals?

In the 17th minute, after a corner kick, Scales headed the ball against the second post, and Parrot appeared in the middle of the small area to head the ball into the back of the net.

At 45, Parrott received the ball at speed on the left, invaded the area, charged towards the middle and finished off Diogo Costa’s counter, hitting the Portuguese goalkeeper’s right corner.
