After around five years of planning, the time had come at the beginning of October: the Mila participatory supermarket opened in Vienna’s Meidling district and is undergoing a reality check. Not far from the Niederhofstrasse U6 station, Mila is developing a 350 square meter shopping world that is not about quick profits and maximum efficiency, as we know from the competition between supermarket chains.
