24 Tesla cars burned. Police suspect “criminal association”

A suspicious fire broke out in a Tesla dealership parking lot in France.

A car dealership’s parking lot Tesla was the “stage” of a fire, in the early hours of last Thursday.

The fire took place in Pennes-Mirabeau, Marseille, and the police are pointing to the most likely scenario: arson.

As reported by , the Aix-en-Provence prosecutor’s office has already opened an investigation into “destruction by dangerous means carried out by a organized group” or “criminal association“.

Around 50 firefighters went to the scene of the fire to try to fight the flames. The warning was given close to 3 hours this morning.

The firefighters’ intervention lasted almost three hours and allowed save the dealership building and about 50 cars. But 24 vehicles were completely destroyed. They all burned.

At the end of March this year, seven Tesla vehicles also burned, and also during the night, at another dealership – but in Germany (Ottersberg). This fire occurred on the day that global protests were held against Elon Musk, owner of the company.

A few weeks earlier, and back in France, a fire destroyed 12 Tesla cars in Toulouse. At the time, an anarchist group claimed the crime on a far-left platform. It was allegedly a protest with Musk’s claim during Donald Trump’s inauguration in January.
