However, even with the reduction, Brazil still remains among the countries most affected by the surcharges applied by the Republican. The executive order signed by Trump and released by the White House only reduces the 10% reciprocal tariff, imposed by him on April 2 of this year. The additional rate of 40%, however, which was made official at the end of July, remains in effect.

As a result, according to a technical note from the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), 73.8% of Brazilian exports to the USA continue to be subject to the additional tariff. Before the review released this Friday, the percentage reached 77.8%, covering 6,037 products.
