The President of the United States, Donald Trump, publicly broke with one of the most loyal supporters of the Trumpist hard core, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. In a post on the Truth Social social network on Friday (14), the Republican called Marjorie “crazy” and said he could endorse a candidate to run against her in next year’s midterm elections.
Trump and Marjorie’s relationship has soured in recent months due to the congresswoman’s criticism of the government’s handling of businessman Jeffrey Epstein’s files. The Republican also criticized Trump’s focus on international issues and called on him to return attention to domestic issues.

In the publication, Trump accused Marjorie of having gone “too far to the left” in her political positions. He said all the congresswoman has done in recent months is complain, adding that he is irritated by Marjorie’s calls. “I can’t take calls from a complaining lunatic every day.”
The congresswoman responded on the social network X. She said that Trump attacked her and lied about her. The Republican shared a screenshot of a text message she said she sent to the American president about the release of Jeffrey Epstein’s files.
Marjorie said it is “really astounding how hard Trump is fighting to stop the Epstein files from being released, to the point that it has reached this level,” referring to next week’s vote in the U.S. House on whether to release the Epstein files.
“I supported Trump with a lot of my precious time, a lot of my own money, and I fought harder for him even when almost every other Republican turned their back and denounced him,” the congresswoman added. “I do not worship or serve Donald Trump.”

Trump’s post appeared to put an end to fissures that widened after this month’s elections, in which voters switched to Democrats in New Jersey and Virginia, worried about the rising cost of living.

Last week, Marjorie told NBC News that “watching foreign leaders come to the White House through a revolving door is not helping Americans.” She called on Trump to focus on domestic problems such as rising prices rather than his recent emphasis on foreign affairs. Trump responded by saying Greene had “lost her way.”
Asked about Greene’s comments earlier Friday while flying from Washington to Florida, Trump reiterated that he felt “something happened to her in the last month or two,” saying that if he hadn’t gone to China to meet with President Xi Jinping, it would have hurt Marjorie’s home state of Georgia.
At that time, Trump had already said that many people have been calling him wanting to challenge Marjorie in the primaries.

Epstein quotes Trump in email
Deputies from the Democratic Party released on Wednesday, 12, a series of emails in which businessman Jeffrey Epstein stated that the American president knew about the crimes committed by the tycoon and “spent hours” with one of Epstein’s victims.
After the emails were released, the White House accused Democrats of trying to defame the president. “The fact is that President Trump kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his club. These stories are nothing more than bad faith attempts to divert attention from President Trump’s historic achievements,” press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement.
On the other hand, Democrats on the House Oversight Committee said the emails raised new questions about the relationship between Epstein and Trump. The documents came into the hands of the opposition after the committee subpoenaed the businessman’s estate in court to hand them over.

In one of the emails Epstein alludes to Trump having been one of the only members of his personal circle to not speak out about the accusations against him and adds: “She (a victim) spent hours at my house with him (Trump), and he was never mentioned (in the proceedings) once.”
In another email, this one addressed to journalist Michael Wolff, Trump’s biographer, when the Republican was in the White House, Epstein says that Trump “knew about the girls” he was abusing, “so much so that he (Trump) asked Ghislaine (his partner, convicted of child trafficking) to stop.”/com AP
