At least 6 dead and 34 injured in heavy Russian bombardment of Kiev

During marathon negotiations on the draft 2026 budget that continued into the early hours of Friday, ruling coalition lawmakers agreed to increase aid to Ukraine to 11.5 billion euros, taking German support to the highest level since the Russian invasion in 2022.
According to German media reports citing the defense ministry, the extra money will be spent on artillery, drones, armored vehicles and two Patriot air defense systems.
Alongside the above, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden have agreed to finance a separate package of 430 million euros for Ukraine.
