Author of aggression against street cleaner records video apologizing: “It was a hot-headed moment”

The man responsible for attacking street sweeper Francisco Ferreira da Silva, 47, recorded a video in which he publicly apologizes for what happened. In the video, he states that he acted in a hot-headed moment and that the attitude does not match his character.

He claims to be sorry for what he did and declares that anyone who knows him knows that he is not that type of person. He also reinforced that, although he cannot change what happened, he is willing to accept the consequences of his actions.

The attacker also said that he will pay all the medical expenses of the worker, who suffered fractures to his face after being hit by a brick. The attack happened after the street sweeper refused to collect glass bottles discarded inappropriately, outside the bin and without adequate protection, which goes against the safety standards of the collection service.
