
Andrzej Bargiel skied down Everest, after climbing it without using oxygen
Andrzej Bargiel, a Polish climber, was the first climber ever to not use oxygen when climbing and then descending on skis. North American Jim Morrison was a pioneer in skiing the most dangerous side of Everest.

First was the polcado, on September 23rd. He was the first person ever to climb the Everest (8,849 meters above sea level) without the aid of oxygen and then descending it by ski.
As details, which cites Red Bull, in total, Andrzej Bargiel spent almost 16 hours in the “death zone” without oxygen.
The descent happened without letting go of the skis, and without ropes. The only help was from his brother, who controlled the state of the ice using a drone.
Jim Morrison, in turn, broke another record: he became, on October 15th, the first person to ski down the north side of Everest.
The climber spent just over four hours descending the slope, with a slope of 50 degrees, to the Rongbuk glacier. As the same radio details, this was the third attempt by Jim Morrison skiing down the most dangerous side of Everest.
The first was in 2023, but there were problems with permissions from China. In 2024, the expedition was, in turn, interrupted due to an avalanche.
