Deputy published photos in the country one day after STF made him a defendant on charges of trying to interfere in his father’s trial
(PL-SP) traveled to Bahrain, in the Middle East, where he met with a member of the country’s royal family. The federal deputy published this Sunday (16.Nov.2025) images of the meeting and records of the visit.
The trip was made one day after the (Supreme Federal Court) decided, unanimously, to make the congressman a defendant on charges of making arrangements in the United States to try to interfere in the trial of his father, the former president (PL), convicted of an attempted coup d’état.
On his social networks, Eduardo called the visit a “Immense satisfaction” and said he made new friends during the trip. According to the deputy, Khaled Al-Khalifa “carries a different energy, true humility, positive vision and the ability to inspire everyone around”.

He also wrote that he would meet the sheikh again “renew the soul” and highlighted the importance of “bo alliances and good company”. He ended the message with thanks in Arabic: “Shukran djazeera, sadiki”.
Eduardo became a defendant
After Minister Cármen Lúcia’s vote on Saturday (15.Nov.2025), the 1st Panel of the STF decided to open a criminal case against Eduardo.
The 3 ministers accompanied the rapporteur, to receive the complaint from the (Attorney General’s Office).
In his vote, Moraes stated that Eduardo organized actions against Brazil in North American territory, including trade tariffs, visa suspension and the application of the Magnitsky Law – a sanction imposed on the minister.
