The Aljezur Sweet Potato Festival returns between the 28th and 30th of November, at Espaço Multiusos de Aljezur, for another edition dedicated to the pride, tradition and unique flavor of the lira variety sweet potato, a product that is a distinctive brand and symbol of the municipality’s identity.
For three days, Aljezur promises a true gastronomic and cultural celebration, in an event that combines flavors, music and conviviality, highlighting the role of sweet potatoes in history and the local economy.
In a statement, the Municipality of Aljezur highlights that “for three days, the Espaço Multiusos de Aljezur will transform into a great stage for parties and conviviality, where authentic flavors, local culture, music and entertainment will provide an unforgettable experience.”
Visitors will be able to taste a wide range of gastronomic options, from traditional sweets and sweet potato cakes to the most creative culinary innovations, the result of the talent of local producers and cooks. The program also includes musical entertainment, crafts and activities for the whole family, consolidating the event as one of the most emblematic of the Algarve autumn.
More than a gastronomic showcase, the Festival is “a celebration of the identity and know-how that has distinguished this region of the Algarve for generations and the municipality’s signature product”, says the municipality.
With free entry, the event invites residents and visitors to “reserve the date now and prepare for three days full of energy, joy and flavor”, adds the .
